1:1  Eating Disorder Therapy Retreat


Since I have a young baby who I care for 5 1/2 days per week, I'm not able to organise and run a retreat to the standard that I would want to give you. I am able to offer 8 hour Breakthrough days online or in person. The in person option does not include accomodation.

If you're wondering why this webpage is still there for you to read, it's because I may run retreats in the future so I don't want to delete it, and I don't know how to unpublish the webpage.

What''s Included ?

You will be staying at The Coach House – a delightful boutique guest house close to lovely Darley Abbey park, Derby and just around the corner from my home treatment room, where we’ll meet for your 1:1 sessions.

You get to choose the feel of your stay – selecting either one of the opulent rooms within the main house, or one of the more tranquil rooms in the converted stable building, which look onto the gardens.

All the rooms are beautifully and uniquely furnished, as well as kitted out with everything you’ll need for a really gorgeous, relaxing stay.

"Before having our session I was in a constant state of overwhelm and stress. I am definitely a type-A perfectionist and find it hard to let things go if they aren't exactly how I want them to be. During RTT, I understood how things that happened in my past made me feel as though I wasn't good enough. I understand that you might have food routines and habits that you want to stick to when you first arrive (I had those too when I had an eating disorder). Whatever you need, I will make sure that you get it so that you ALWAYS feel comfortable and looked after.

Your guest house provides breakfast, simple food, and the owners are very flexible with dietary requirements, preferences and meal timings. They are also happy to buy in any special items that you would like on request (we will discuss this in your online session, 2 weeks before your 1:1 retreat).

And if you would rather buy your own food, there will be a fridge in your room and I will help you with directions to shops etc.

I want to reassure you that, over our two days together, we will be working to change your mindset and food habits to bring more freedom into your relationship with eating. And so there will also be an opportunity to really enjoy a healthy, delicious meal together when you feel ready to do so.


WORRY-FREE DINING

Resting and looking after yourself are a key part of the experience. This is the start of your new life – being kind to yourself and taking your first steps into a brighter future.

In between therapy sessions and at the end of each day, you will have time to relax and rest. You can chill out in your beautiful room or enjoy the guest-house’s lovely garden. If you’d like to explore, nearby Darley Park is a great place for a walk. (I’ll give you a full list of all the things to do in the local area as part of your welcome pack.)

At the end of Day 1, you can also book a complimentary rest and relaxation session. Choose between a private yoga or Pilates class, a sound healing, or a personalised aromatherapy session.

The extent of your recovery will depend on where you are in your journey. My clients typically experience huge breakthroughs and massive shifts in their mindset towards themselves and recovery. The experience of intensive therapy, a non-judgemental space to talk and be heard, and the relaxing experience of staying in gorgeous accommodation while you do this work will help you make great leaps in your recovery.
