HOT SEAT COACHING
GUIDED HYPNOTHERAPY
community check-in space (upgrade)
A live 4-week recovery series designed to help you finally understand the patterns maintaining your binge–purge cycle and begin interrupting them -without willpower or food rules.
Led by psychologist Dr Rachel Evans, this series includes
Break Free From the binge-purge Cycle
If you’ve promised yourself hundreds of times that ‘tomorrow will be different’ but the cycle keeps repeating, then this programme was created for you
You're trying, and that's the really frustrating part.
You’ve read the articles.
Listened to the podcasts.
Maybe worked with a nutritionist.
Tried eating “better.”
Tried eating more.
Tried cutting things out.
Tried adding things in.
Tried Being kind to yourself.
Tried to fake it 'till you make it.
And somehow you’re still here.
Bingeing.
Purging.
Promising yourself...
"it’ll be different next week".
It feels like you’ve been given pieces of a puzzle - bits of advice, reframes, food rules, ideas for coping strategies - and you’ve been trying to force them together.
But something doesn’t quite fit.
You're starting to wonder if the thing that’s missing is something in you. Perhaps you’re just broken.
Let me stop you there.
I absolutely believe you are NOT broken. You just haven’t been shown how your binge–purge cycle is being maintained and where you can start interrupting it.
I was diagnosed with bulimia.
I tried to fix it with the “perfect” way of eating. Every new set of food rules felt hopeful - until it led to another binge, followed by making myself throw up.
I wish someone had sat me down and properly explained that this cycle wasn’t just about discipline or food choices.
I didn’t need another plan. I needed to understand my habits and patterns, not be given generic advice like “go for a walk.” or "read a book".
And I needed reassurance that recovery wouldn’t strip away the parts of me that felt strong or driven or ambitious… but could change the borderline-abusive voice in my head didn’t actually need to be in charge anymore.
I've been recovered for over 8 years now, and the first real shift I made to get here was understanding MY binge-purge cycles.
Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all, which means that support shouldn’t be either.
The series is based on the pillars of my Nourish Method, which I use with 1-to-1 clients to help uncover what’s actually maintaining the binge-purge cycle and where meaningful change can begin.
Each week focuses on a different part of the cycle - physiology, mindset and identity, with time allocated each week and during week 4 to ask questions and get coached by me.
The calls are designed to meet you where you're at, whether this is the first recovery support you've paid for or the 21st. My aim is to arm you with knowledge and know how to apply it in a way that makes sense to you.
Hot-seat coaching session where you can bring your specific questions or stuck points and learn how to apply the tools to your own situation
week 4:
refine
Reclaiming your identity from being 'bulimic'. Separating the beliefs and behaviours from who you actually are with the help of 'tapping'.
week 3:
reclaim
How to reduce your Inner Critic & exit the shame loop during recovery. With a guided hypnotherapy to work with subconscious patterns, not just fight them consciously
week 2:
rewire
Why compensating keeps you stuck in the binge cycle (and how to stop it). Map your cycle and begin to understand how to interrupt it physiologically.
You’ve tried countless “healthy lifestyle” plans hoping they’d finally stop the binge–purge cycle, but nothing seems to stick.
You spend far too much mental energy thinking about food, rules, or what you did “wrong”.
You’ve read the blogs, followed the advice, and listened to the experts - yet still feel no closer to lasting change.
You’re constantly trying to piece together different strategies, but it still feels like something is missing.
You want to trust your body around food, but every binge makes you doubt yourself all over again.
You feel frustrated that you’re trying so hard to change and still going round in circles.
If you’ve spent years reading advice about recovery but still feel stuck in the binge–purge cycle, this series is designed to help you understand what you might have been missing.
Leave with more clarity about what will actually help you move forward in recovery and how you can make daily progress..
Increase trust in your body and decisions around food instead of constantly second-guessing yourself.
Use simple tools like 'tapping' alongside personalised strategies to regulate difficult emotions and reduce urges.
Understand how self-criticism and shame fuel the binge-cycle and begin responding to yourself more supportively.
Learn physical and psychological ways to respond when urges appear instead of relying on willpower alone.
See the patterns maintaining your binge–purge cycle so you can stop feeling confused about why it keeps happening.
Assuming that you engage with the content within the 4 weeks and/or beyond, you'll have greater confidence and ability to...

"I got a weight watchers flyer through the door today. Every other time I got a flyer like that, it would sit in my to-do pile – always there, just waiting for me to commit until I finally threw it away as an act of giving up on myself. Today – straight in the damn bin!! I’ve still got a journey to go on, but it’s to be more not to weigh less. Meeting Rachel and coming on the course has been a blessing.

"You were amazing 👏 🤩 ❤️

I found the thought of discussing these issues in a group setting quite daunting prior to the course but they were very beneficial to me. To hear people talk about these issues so openly helps to destigmatise them and it also encourages you to verbalise things you've probably never said to people before.

"The hypnotherapy was so useful. I think I have developed the tools I need to begin my recovery and will use all the tools you have given us to start my life again and not be consumed by food. Thank-you for everything you’ve done for us! I think the course is fantastic.

"I really loved the balance between lecture style recordings followed by the coaching call. It worked really well as I could digest the information in my own time, and really think deeply and prepare any questions, all in time for the coaching call. I never thought therapy in a group could work - but it really did! I am really proud I managed to stop myself bingeing.
Since this is the first time I am running these talks in a series, I don't have reviews for 'unstuck', but here's what participants of past 4-6 week groups or workshops had to say.
UNSTUCK is designed to be multi-dimensional, practical, supportive, and flexible.
Each week there will be a live 60-minute session where we explore one key part of the binge–purge cycle and how to begin interrupting it with the goal to help you rebalance your body, rewire your mind, reclaim your identity, and refine your recovery plan.
You can attend live at 12-1pm (UK time) Wednesday 25th March to 18th April, to ask questions and benefit from the group discussion, or watch the replay (which I will aim to send the same afternoon) while stopping to make notes or listening on 2x speed.
Between sessions, I'll suggest simple exercises and journal prompts to help you apply what you’ve learned and begin mapping your own patterns.
The aim isn’t to overwhelm you with tasks - it's to provide you with education, examples, strategies, and the opportunity to ask questions, so you can develop your own insights and gather tools to start using straight away.
You choose when and how much you want to get involved.
MY AIM IS TO FACILITATE AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE YOU FEEL SAFE TO SHARE AND EXCITED TO GET INVOLVED & ASK QUESTIONS
If you’d like more support while you’re applying what you learn, you can also join the small support group, delivered via Telegram.
This gives you access to me Monday to Friday for the four weeks of the series, so you can:
Spaces are capped at 10 people, which means that I’ll be able to respond personally to everyone. My aim is to reply to everyone within 24 hours - if not a lot sooner as I will be checking the group 3x per day between 9am and 10pm.
My invitation is to use it as much or as little as you want to (sometimes just knowing it's there for a challenging moment is enough).
I know some people will want to build relationships and encourage others in the group, while some will want to pop in and ask a question then dip out again. Both are completely fine.
£66
You’ll receive lifetime access to all four live sessions + replays, plus session resources (e.g., 'tapping video, guided hypnotherapy, and journal prompts).
25th March: Why compensating keeps you stuck in the binge cycle (and how to stop it). Replay straight to your inbox if you sign up now
1st April: How to reduce your Inner Critic & exit the shame loop during recovery. Come live and/or watch the replay.
8th April: Reclaiming your identity from being 'bulimic
15th April: Hot seat coaching
£198 total
This price included the 3 workshops & 1x hot seat coaching.
If like me, you nod along to trainings and workshops, then feel completely clueless how to apply it to yourself, or if you know your inner critic will take some taming, then this option is a no-brainer for you.
Can you explain more about the Telegram group?
Telegram is an instant messaging app. I’ve chosen it because conversations can be divided into ‘topics’, so there will be a separate place to discuss the content of each week, and a separate ‘wins’ and ‘community support’ forum.
This means that you can use it as a community to build connections and support each other, or you can use it was a way to ask me questions and not get involved more.
What if I have questions during the series?
You’ll be able to ask questions during the live sessions, and we’ll also have a hot-seat coaching session in week 4 where we explore your specific patterns or stuck points in more detail.
If you choose the Telegram upgrade, you’ll also have access to me five days per week during the series to ask questions and receive support (from me and the other members) as you apply what you’re learning.
What is hypnotherapy and why is it included?
I trained as a clinical hypnotherapist in 2018-19 and have found it's one of the most powerful tools I use with clients. Often in a hypnotherapy session people make connections they hadn't been able to access before, and begin to identify subconscious beliefs that have been quietly running the show. The session in week 2 will also guide you in starting to reframe those beliefs into more supportive ones.
Please know that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis - you remain in control the whole time. You're also completely welcome to experience it as a guided meditation if that feels more comfortable, or simply to take my questions as journal prompts instead. There's no wrong way to participate.
What is EFT and why is it included?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), often called 'tapping', involves gently tapping on specific points on the body while focusing on a thought or feeling. It sounds strange, but it’s a tool I learnt about during my Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders training and has helped many of my clients to fully recover. There's a growing body of research showing it can help reduce the emotional intensity of distressing thoughts and urges. Also it can be used to help release limiting beliefs and manifest goals, which is why I've included it specifically for the identity work in week 3. You'll be guided through how to ‘tap’ during the session, and it works just as well watching on replay.
Is this a replacement for therapy?
No. This series isn’t intended to replace individual therapy. Instead, it’s designed to help you better understand the patterns maintaining the binge–purge cycle and begin applying tools that can support your recovery.
Some people are taking part alongside therapy, while others use it as a starting point for understanding what’s been keeping them stuck.
Can I join if I don’t have a diagnosis of bulimia?
Yes. If you relate to the binge-purge cycle or any of the “this series is ideal for you if’ section - whether or not you have a formal diagnosis - this series was made with you in mind. It may also be helpful if you’re binge eating, or compensating for what you eat without a binge prior. .
Do I need to share my personal life and struggles with strangers?
Absolutely not. You're never required to speak or share anything personal. Many people find it helpful simply to listen, know they're not alone, and absorb the content in their own way. If you do want to engage more that option is always there. But the choice is entirely yours, every single week.
What if I’m not interested in all the topics?
My intention is that you can engage with the series in the way that works best for you. You’ll have access to all the sessions and recordings, so come to the calls/watch the replays that you want to and leave the rest.
Typically I charge £24.99 for a single workshop, so if you get the earlybird price of £33 for all 4 weeks and choose not to watch some of it, then you’re still getting a great deal.
.
What if I can't attend live?
Don’t worry. Every session will be recorded so you can watch the replay in your own time. My goal is to send the recording straight to your inbox the same day (technology gods willing).
If you can attend some calls live but not others, then it would be ideal if you could plan a time to catch up before the next session. However, I have designed the content to be stand-alone workshops, so no worries if you don’t get a chance.
.
When are the live sessions?
Live sessions will be held 12-1pm UK time, Wednesday 25th March and 1st, 8th and 15th April.
Where are the live sessions?
Sessions will be held via Zoom, so you can access from anywhere in the world. You will have your camera off and mic muted as you enter. You can choose to turn your camera on and participate in the chat.
How long will I have access to the replays?
A recording of the replay will be sent to your email address after the session has ended. If you download the recording then you can have lifetime access.
.
What does a session actually look like?
Session 1 will be a mix of teaching/presentation style content and reflection questions. In weeks 2 and 3 there is an activity for you to follow along - hypnotherapy or EFT tapping. In all these weeks you will be able to interact with me and eachother via the chat function on zoom, with time for a Q&A at the end if you want to unmute yourself. Week 4 will have less of a teaching element and mostly time for coaching. You can interact as much or little as you would like to.
.
What if I’m not sure this will work for me?
I'd guess that most people who've already signed up felt the same way. When you've tried things before and they haven't led to lasting change, it makes complete sense to be sceptical - especially if you've started to wonder whether the problem is you. It isn't. But I also won't promise this will 'work' in the way a quick fix would, because that's not what this is. What I can tell you is that for most people, finally understanding the mechanics of their own cycle - not generic advice, but the actual patterns maintaining theirs - is what makes meaningful change feel possible for the first time.
I'd also gently invite you to consider: rather than asking "will this work or not" (black and white thinking) what might it look like if this series took you even one step closer to where you want to be?
What if I'm not sure I'm ready?
That feeling makes complete sense. I’m guessing that part of you wants things to be different, and part of you is scared that trying again and it not working will feel like proof that you can't recover. I want to be honest with you: this series won't fix everything in four weeks. But it's designed to give you something that a lot of people with bulimia have never had - a clearer understanding of why the cycle keeps repeating for you specifically, and practical tools to begin interrupting it. You don't need to be ready to recover fully. You just need to be curious enough to understand the cycle better than you do right now.
Will you be running this again?
I'm not sure. This is the first time I'm running it in this format, and I haven't decided yet whether or how I'll repeat it. If you're on the fence, I wouldn't count on waiting for the next round.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Due to the nature of the content — which includes live sessions, recordings, and immediate access to resources from 25th March — I'm not able to offer refunds. The recordings and resources are yours to keep and return to again and again, so even if life gets in the way during the four weeks, the value doesn't disappear. That said, if you feel the series hasn't met your expectations then I'd genuinely like to know why - please email me at rachel@rachelevansphd.co.uk to tell me why. I'd encourage you to read through this page carefully and feel free to email me or DM me on Instagram @rachel.evans.phd with any questions before joining, so you can feel confident it's the right fit for you.
If you’ve read this far, there’s a good chance part of this resonated with you.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before joining.
Let's be realistic, this series won’t unpack every possible root cause of your relationship with food, compensating, your body etc in only four weeks.
But, if you engage with the content, it will help you understand the main patterns keeping the cycle alive in a new way and give you practical tools to begin changing them on a conscious and subconscious level. For many people, that clarity is the turning point at which they feel able to take more empowering actions.
And if you Upgrade to the Telegram Support Group, I'll be there to help every step of the way.
If you're tired of trying to solve this alone and want a clearer understanding of what’s actually maintaining the cycle, I’d love to have you join us inside UNSTUCK.
